Multicultural Greek Council History

The Multicultural Greek Council at Oklahoma State University was established to meet the needs of ethnic fraternities and sororities that were not being met by the fraternity and sorority community prior to its establishment. In November 2002, Alpha Pi Omega and Omega Delta Phi, the founding members, came together to create an organization which would unite all multicultural Greek-lettered organizations. In August 2003, the Multicultural Greek Council constitution was accepted and the Council was officially recognized on the Oklahoma State University campus. In January 2004, MGC accepted its first additional member organization, Delta Epsilon Psi.  Phi Sigma Nu was accepted following that as well.
