Sun Yat-Sen Short Term Program

Sun Yat-sen University and OSU worked hand-in-hand to initiate the short-term visiting program in Spring 2012. It is not only simply a tour to the USA but also a chance for Chinese college students to experience both American college life and daily entertainment. Students in this program will make reports on various topics as well as communicate with students, faculty members, and staff members of OSU.

OSU President Burn Hargis took photos with the first group in February 2012.

The Students in the first group travelled to the Philbrooks Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The debut of the program in the Spring 2012 semester is proved to be very successful, which fortifies the determination of both universities to carry it on. As a result, soon after the first group of students were back to China, the second group came to OSU in the Fall 2012 semester. Again, students involved in the second group gave very positive feedback and believed the program is meaningful and worthwhile.

The second group took a picture together before they went to watch the college football game between OSU Cowboys and Savannah State University.

The second group visited OSU's conference center, the Wes Watkins Center, and talked to Dr. Henneberry, the Associate Vice President of International Studies and Outreach of OSU.

Students of the second group had a lot of fun with their new American friends. This picture was taken during the Farewell Dinner at Hideaway Pizza.
