Application Timeline

Applications to be a 2024 Camp Cowboy Director opened on December 18, 2023. To apply, complete the following application. We will abide by the following timeline, unless a change needs to be made:

• Applications Open: December 18, 2023
• Directors & Staff Info Session: January 10, 2024 @ 7 pm 
• Zoom Information to be posted by noon on January 10 
• Deadline: January 12, 2024
• Individual Interviews: January 16 - 19 (tentative)
• Selection Date: January 26, 2024 (tentative)
• Directors Training Retreat: Early February, DATE TBD (tentative)

Eligibility

Candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:

• Have served on Camp Staff for at least one summer of Camp Cowboy
• Enrolled at OSU in Fall 2023 and Spring 2024
• Be in good standing with the University

Required Materials

Candidates will need to provide the following materials:

• Director/Camp Staff Application
• Resume

Compensation & Benefits

Directors will be compensated starting in the Spring 2024 Semester at $8.50 an hour with an expectation that they work 10 hours a week during spring. During the summer, Directors will be paid $8.50 at 40 hours a week during camp weeks, with taxes deducted. Directors can anticipate making roughly $4,000 in their time as Camp Cowboy Directors. 

Directors will also receive a $300 meal plan for the summer as well as summer housing provided through OSU Residential Life.
